What will the Retreat be like?

1. Daily Masterclasses
At the retreat, our neuropsychologist, Marjolein, will share scientific insights on the body-mind-soul connection and overall health. Topics include stress management, coping with emotions, movement, nutrition, sleep improvement, and the power of meditation and manifestation. Learn how a healthy brain can help you manifest the life you truly desire! Marjolein will be with us throughout the retreat, guiding and supporting every step of the way.

2. Daily Coaching
You will gain practical tools and tips to help create a more meaningful and fulfilling everyday life. This is the perfect opportunity to learn how to craft the life you want, step by step. 

3. Nourishing Meals
Indulge in freshly prepared, healthy meals daily. Our healthy vegetarian and traditional dishes are perfect for detoxing, nourishing both your body and spirit.

4. The Villa
Our beautiful villa is nestled in Portugal’s breathtaking natural landscape, offering the perfect setting to unwind and rejuvenate. With stunning views and a refreshing pool, it’s the ideal sanctuary for your retreat.

5. The Location
We are located between Porto and Lisbon, near the picturesque village of Meruge. 

Six days of recharging, learning, reflecting, and relaxing await you!

Sample Daily Program

  • Morning Routine: Start your day with stretching, mindfulness, and breathing exercises.
  • Masterclasses: Delve into the science of the mind-body-soul connection and learn about holistic health.
  • Reflection Time: Guided sessions to reflect on your current life/ your days here, and set intentions for the future.
  • Mindfulness activities and hikes: Various practices to enhance self-awareness and clarity, combined with movement and fun in the beauty of nature.
  • Day trips to local sights: Learn and experience about Portugals slow-living and heartwarming culture.
  • Relaxation Time: Opportunities for rest and rejuvenation throughout the day. In/around the house or at our swimmingpool.
  • Evening Routine: Guided meditation sessions, a Cacao Ceremony and gratitude practices to be fully present in the moment and stimulate deep sleep.

We have a well-filled weekly program, but if you’d like to dive deeper, the following can be added:

  • Psychological treatment, such as trauma processing (EMDR).
  • 1-on-1 coaching.
  • Or simply enjoy a relaxing massage.

Facilitators of the Retreat

Michelle Man, Transformational Life Coach

Michelle is a passionate transformation and life coach, founder of I-O Health, and together with Marjolein, the brain behind the ‘Inner Balance Retreat’. Driven by a personal search for optimal health, happiness and meaning, she now helps others to walk their unique path. She believes that happiness and health are inseparably linked and introduces you to the concept of ‘Holistic Living’.

During the retreat, you will not only receive theoretical knowledge but also practical tools to optimize both your physical and mental health. We also address questions of meaning and purpose. Michelle inspires you to discover your dreams and choose a life of health and personal happiness with confidence, courage, and authenticity!

Marjolein Moelands, NeuroPsychologist

Marjolein is a Medical Psychologist with a specialization in Neuropsychology, focusing on the brain. With over 15 years of experience working with clients, she finds true fulfillment in helping people fully harness their brain’s potential. By teaching them how to take proper care of their brain, she empowers them to achieve their highest mental and physical health and unlock their full potential. Marjolein practices what she preaches and, over the past three years, has been leading her own transformative retreats.

Together with Michelle, she will combine their expertise to host an amazing Body-Mind-Soul Retreat in Portugal. During this retreat, Marjolein will lead Masterclasses focused on the powerful connection between mind, body, and soul. She will offer valuable insights and practical tools to help you navigate daily life, empowering you to live authentically and unlock your fullest potential.
